To remove the base of the ‌ tile screed, follow these steps: ‌

1. Prepare tools

‌ rubber mallet ‌ : used to knock the base to loosen it.

‌ screwdriver ‌ : used to turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen the buckle.

2. Determine the base position

The base of the screed is usually located in the middle of the tile, making sure that the tile has been pasted before operation.

3. Tap with a rubber mallet

Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the upper part of the base to loosen it. The base is disposable and will break in the middle of the tile.

4. Turn the screw counterclockwise

If the base is secured by screws, turn the screws counterclockwise using a screwdriver to release the latches.

5. Remove the base

After completing the above steps, the base should be able to be removed easily. If the base is difficult to remove, use a rubber mallet to gently tap around the base again to help loosen it.
