What is a tile leveler?

Tile Leveler is a tool used in the process of tile laying, which can help solve the problem of uneven tile laying and make tiles look more beautiful.

In the renovation of new houses, the laying of tiles is crucial. Whether it is wall tiles or floor tiles, if the laying is not Smooth, it can easily cause hollowing and bring trouble to subsequent construction. And tile levelers can play an important role in tile laying.

There are various types of tile levelers on the market. For example, there is a utility model tile leveler, which includes a base, a platform, and a cap. The base includes a gasket and a screw column vertically fixed on the gasket. The platform is fitted onto the screw column through a strip-shaped hole and pressed onto the tile. The cap is threaded onto the screw column, and rotating the cap can apply pressure to level the tile. This design can make the tiles more evenly and stably stressed, facilitating leveling operations. After leveling is completed and the concrete solidifies, a force is applied along the direction of the brick joint through the strip-shaped holes on the platform, which can quickly break the connection with the gasket and facilitate removal.

When using a tile leveler, pay attention to some methods and key points. Before use, the surface should be cleaned, the joints between the edges of the tiles and the corners of the wall should be suitable, and the bottom plate should cover the gaps. When checking the flatness, the 2M level should be checked, and the error should not exceed 3mm. The height difference between adjacent bricks should not exceed 2mm. During the operation, the floor must be firmly bonded, the hollowing must be controlled within 5%, and the single-sided hollowing area must not exceed 10%. The width of the floor tiles is 2mm, which is less than or equal to 3mm. In addition, the joints should be uniform, and the horizontal error should not exceed 4mm.

The correct use of a tile leveler can greatly improve the flatness of tiles after installation, ensure the uniformity of tile gaps, and effectively prevent the compression and collapse of tiles caused by thermal expansion and contraction during future use.
